New Surface Pro alternative launches with 16-inch display and Intel processor

Multiple Surface Pro alternatives exist, including the ThinkPad X13 Detachable that reached the US last month. Some opt for larger displays than Microsoft's popular 2-in-1 too, including the ProArt PZ14 that we reviewed earlier this year. Few are as large as the new Founder 16-inch 2-in-1, though.
Specifically, Founder has built its new 2-in-1 a panel resolving at 2,560 x 1,600 pixels in a 16:10 aspect ratio. According to the company, this large display also delivers 300 nits peak brightness, a 60 Hz refresh rate and 72% NTSC colour space coverage. Ultimately, all of these are rather budget specifications, particularly compared to the 2,880 x 1,920-pixel, 120 Hz and 600-nit display an IPS versions of the Surface Pro 12 (curr. $1,199 on Amazon).
Similarly, Founder has opted for the Processor N100 from Intel's Alder Lake-N family. A quad-core processor lacking Hyper-Threading support, the Processor N100 trades x86 compatibility for weaker performance than ARM-powered versions in the Surface Pro series. For instance, the Processor N100 only delivers less than half the performance of the Snapdragon X Plus (X1P-42-100) powering the original Surface Pro 12-inch.
Additionally, Founder includes 16 GB of RAM, a 512 GB SSD and a 46 Wh battery (6,000 mAh). Moreover, the 16-inch 2-in-1 contains dual USB 3.2 Type-A and Type-C ports, as well as a microSD card slot and a 3.5 mm jack. Allegedly, all this hardware fits inside a 12 mm-thick frame too. However, Founder quotes a 1.2 kg weight excluding the device's stand and keyboard.
The Founder 16-inch 2-in-1 retails for CNY 3,999 (~$596) in China. Unlike the Surface Pro 12, this price includes the device's detachable stand and keyboard accessory. One must purchase the MPP 2.0 stylus separately though, which Founder shows in some marketing materials. International launch details remain unknown at this stage.
