New OnePlus flagship phone launches this month with a familiar design

OnePlus has formally announced the launch date of its new flagship phone, the Ace 3 Pro. According to the announcement, the device will launch on June 27 in China. The company has also revealed some renders and a video teaser of the smartphone, which shows a similar design to the non-Pro version.

Of course, there are some tweaks on the design, with the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro appearing to have a slightly larger camera island on the back and a new Ace branding. There's not much official word on the specs other than the smartphone featuring Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and an IP65 rating, though. However, recent reports suggest that the phone will pack the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

In addition, the Ace 3 Pro is expected to bring the largest battery found in the company's portfolio. It is said to be 6,100 mAh in capacity, beating the current record held by the Ace 3. That phone launched with a 5,500 mAh, which is already larger than the OnePlus 12. However, the charging speed is expected to be the same as that of the non-Pro variant, at 100W.

Besides, the recent leaks hinted that the phone will feature a 6.75-inch LTPO AMOLED screen. They also pointed to a 50 MP primary camera on the back. As for the pricing, the Ace 3 Pro is rumored to start at CNY 2,999 (about $413). The company rebranded the non-Pro Ace 3 to the OnePlus 12R (curr. $499.99 on Amazon) for the international markets, but it's unclear whether the upcoming phone will also be rebranded or even be launched in regions outside China.
