New Insta360 Ace Pro 3 leak gives early look at upcoming Leica action camera

Insta360 launched the Ace Pro 2 in October 2024, and while it got multiple new accessories since the release, it's now due for an update. Well, it seems the successor is around the corner, and recent leaks have given an early look at the upcoming Leica action camera.
Per the picture shared by @Quadro_News, like the predecessor, the Ace Pro 3 will be available in black and white, and it will come with a redesigned housing. A notable aspect of the refreshed design is that the lens is octagonal, which may make it easier to replace.
As for the sensor under the lens, recent reports suggest that it will be a 1-inch camera, which would be a proper upgrade over the 1/1.3-inch sensor found on the Ace Pro 2. The larger 50MP camera should lead to better dynamic range and improve low-light performance.
@Quadro_News has also shared a snapshot of the Ace Pro 3's FCC certification, which hints that the action camera will see an upgrade in terms of the battery. It points to a 2,250mAh battery, and for reference, the last-gen action camera could house an 1,800mAh battery (Ketopkin Fast Charge Hub curr. $20.69 on Amazon).
This battery upgrade should lead to better battery life, and to fill you in, the Ace Pro 2 was rated for up to 150 minutes at 4K 30FPS with the Endurance Mode turned on. Another notable upgrade pointed out by the leak is the front screen, and it seems that both displays on the upcoming camera can serve as a live viewfinder.
That also means that the Ace Pro 3 won't have a monochrome screen on the front. More about the upcoming action camera is expected to emerge in the coming leaks.
