Another Anker 240W USB-C to USB-C cable looks to be on the way. A leaked product image indicates that this accessory will land in the company’s Prime range, with the word “PRIME” written on a part of the cable. If this is the case, it will be the first Anker Prime cable.
The 240W USB-C to USB-C cable is braided with upcycled material, as seen on the recently released USB-C to USB-C Cable (240W, Upcycled-Braided). While the maximum charging power remains the same, the Prime model will likely have a higher data transfer rate than the standard accessory, which offers 480 Mbps. As with the older model, the Prime cable is said to be offered in two lengths, 3 ft (90 cm) and 6 ft (180 cm). The image shows a black braided cable with a dark gray metallic connector housing; whether or not other color variants will be available is unclear.
It remains to be seen when the Anker Prime USB-C to USB-C Cable (240W, Upcycled-Braided) will launch and in which countries. A Reddit post from u/joshuadwx suggests that the 3 ft (90 cm) version will retail for $29.99 in the US, while the 6 ft (180 cm) variant will cost $34.99. This would make it more expensive than the Anker USB-C to USB-C Cable (240W, Upcycled-Braided), which retails for $21.99/$24.99.
