New AMD Ryzen AI HX 400 series processor leaks with 16-CU GPU

Looks like AMD is going to add another Gorgon Point Ryzen AI 400 processor to its portfolio. A leaker has shed light on what is said to be the Ryzen AI 7 HX 455, so it sits on top of the Ryzen AI 7 450, but it’s closer to the Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 when considering the GPU. It should be noted that AMD has not shared any information about this APU.
According to leaker Golden Pig Upgrade on Weibo, the Ryzen AI 7 HX 455 features eight cores and 16 threads. Where it stands out is the 24 MB L3 cache and 16 compute units (CUs) for the iGPU, which is believed to be the Radeon 890M. This puts it in line with the Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 and Ryzen AI 9 HX 475, both of which also come with 24 MB L3 cache and 16 CUs. Of course, they do feature more cores and threads compared to the Ryzen AI 7 HX 455.
When comparing it to the Ryzen AI 7 450, it has the same core/thread count, but a higher L3 cache, a better iGPU, and more CUs for the GPU as well. At this point, that’s all the information available on the Ryzen AI 7 HX 455. As for the iGPU, it is believed to be the Radeon 890M, but it could also be the Radeon 860M or even the 880M.
With this configuration, the new processor is quite similar to the Ryzen Z2 Extreme, with the main difference being 24 MB of L3 cache rather than 16 MB.
