Navee flying boat pre-order reservations are live and only cost 10 grand

The Navee Wavefly 5X, a first-of-its-kind fly speedboat, has made waves since its official launch in early June. Using low-altitude ground-effect flight, this watercraft glides across the water's surface to create the sensation of flying without requiring a pilot's license. While the tech is impressive, so is the asking price. At $200,000, it is a bit of an understatement to say it is cost-prohibitive for most people, but for a select few, there is now a chance to pre-order a one-of-a-kind vehicle with an equally unique set of features.
In addition to its low-altitude flight capabilities, the Wavefly 5X is fully electric. It features 4 propellers, each with a max power output of 8,000W, which can propel the Wavefly 5X to a top speed of 53 mph (83 km/h). In boat terms, this speed is squarely in speedboat territory, and the fact that the Wavefly won't be thrashing around in the waves like a traditional boat would is certainly a more appealing prospect for the adventure resorts this watercraft is geared towards. Being fully electric also offers the benefit of swappable batteries, which extend its 50-mile max range or 70 minutes of fly time. Lastly, Navee claims that the Wavefly 5X is easy to pilot and handles "like a boat," so those familiar with helming or doing donuts in a paddleboat are already clear for takeoff.
