Miyoo has announced a new version of its Mini Plus handheld. The new version retains the design and most of the specs of the original that was released in 2023, but swaps the processor for a more powerful one.

It has been over three years since the Miyoo Mini Plus was released. However, rather than an outright successor, Miyoo has decided to launch a refresh of the vertical handheld which it calls the Miyoo Mini Plus V2. The new version features a key upgrade but keeps the rest of the specs unchanged.

The Miyoo Mini Plus V2 has a 3.5-inch IPS display with a 640 x 480 resolution. It also has a 3,000mAh battery capacity, a cross D-pad, ABXY buttons in a Switch layout, and L1, L2, R1, and R2 shoulder buttons on the back. There's an audio jack, a microSD card slot, and a USB-C port at the bottom, and the device has Wi-Fi for online play.

However, the new version swaps out the SigmaStar SSD202D dual-core processor in the original (available on Amazon for $79.99) for the more powerful Rockchip RK3562 quad-core processor. Unfortunately, the RAM is reported to remain 128MB. Nevertheless, the new processor should translate to an improvement in performance.

The Miyoo Mini Plus V2 is available to buy now on Gogamegeek for $69.99 in Transparent Purple, Transparent Black, White, and Grey. The listing says this is a presale, so there's a possibility the price may increase later. The store is also selling accessories for the handheld such as a screen protector, a hard shell carrying case, and handle grips.
