MSI GS75 Stealth

The MSI GS75 Stealth stands out from the mass of gaming laptops with its sleek design. The device has a 17-inch display, but its thin bezels allow the device to remain compact. MSI has constructed the GS75 Stealth with a sandblasted aluminium case that is finished in metallic black with gold accents. The company has also equipped the device with a huge glass trackpad that has a silky-smooth finish, which should ensure maximum precision when performing multi-finger gestures or moving the mouse.

MSI has squeezed in an Intel Core i7-8750H hexa-core CPU and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q GPU into a frame that is only 18.95 mm thick. Moreover, the GS75 Stealth weighs just 2.2 kg, which is astoundingly light for a 17-inch laptop. MSI will also sell the device with a GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q or an RTX 2060 instead, which have 8 GB and 6 GB of GDDR6 VRAM respectively.

The 17.3-inch IPS display has a 144 Hz refresh rate, which provides an immersive and realistic gaming experience. Additionally, the panel has an extremely fast 3 ms response time that will always guarantee a razor-sharp image even during quick game sequences. Furthermore, the GS75 Stealth will have almost 100% sRGB colour space coverage for realistic colour reproduction. The IPS technology also provides excellent viewing angles, so you can game from practically any angle without noticing any brightness, colour or image distortions.

MSI has also designed the MSI GS65 Stealth, a 15.6-inch version of the GS75 Stealth with the same CPU and GPU offerings but in a more portable case. The GS65 Stealth received the CES Innovation Award at CES 2019 and has been significantly upgraded from its predecessor with a large glass trackpad and a slew of GeForce RTX GPUs from which to choose.

MSI GL73 and GL63

The MSI GL73 and GL63 are the cheapest ways to get into GeForce RTX laptop gaming. Both devices are elegantly designed but have a newly engineered cover, which will make them eye-catching in every situation. MSI has also included its excellent Cooler Boost 5 dual-fan cooling system, which means that both machines should offer maximum performance without overheating or thermal throttling.

MSI has equipped the GL73 with a 17.3-inch display that runs at a Full HD native resolution, while the GL63 packs a 15.6-inch display that operates at the same resolution. A highlight of both devices is their huge speakers, which ensure that no detail is missed thanks to a reported 40% improvement in volume and sound quality compared to previous models.

The GL73 and GL63 are also equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU that has 6 GB of GDDR6 VRAM. Moreover, they are both powered by an Intel Core i7-8750H hexa-core processor, the combination of which should play games smoothly at any graphics settings. MSI has equipped the GL73 and GL63 with two SO-DIMM slots that support up to 32 GB of DDR4-2666 RAM. Moreover, both devices have a SteelSeries gaming keyboard that features red backlighting and USB 3.1 Gen 2 for fast data transfer via Type-A and Type-C ports.

MSI GE75 Raider and GE63 Raider

MSI has also overhauled the GE75 Raider, which is recognisable by the characteristic grooves on its aluminium display cover that sandwich the MSI Gaming dragon. The GE75 and GE63 Raider share the same hardware combinations and are powered by a Core i7-8750H processor. MSI offers buyers the choice between a GeForce RTX 2080, an RTX 2070 and an RTX 2060, the latter of which has 6 GB of GDDR6 VRAM, which is 2 GB less than the RTX 2080 and RTX 2070.

The GE75 and GE63 Raider both have slim aluminium cases that house MSI’s Cooler Boost 5 dual-fan cooling system for maximum performance with no thermal throttling. MSI has also equipped the devices with low-reflection 144 Hz displays that run natively at Full HD and have 3 ms response times. Moreover, the display has exceptionally slim bezels, which measure 5.7 mm. All models are equipped with a fast PCIe SSD and, depending on the configuration, can also be fitted with an additional HDD for extra storage.

MSI has equipped both devices with Killer Gigabit LAN and ac-WLAN to ensure a stable connection while gaming. Killer's new xTend technology also means that you could use your GE75 or GE63 Raider as an intelligent Wi-Fi hub. There is a slew of ports too including USB 3.1 Gen 2 for fast data transfer via Type-A and Type-C ports. Moreover, the Dynaudio sound system with its substantial two-way stereo Giant speakers will create an immersive experience while gaming. Additionally, the analogue headphone output supports Hi-Res audio via an ESS SABER HiFi Audio DAC for outstanding audio quality. Finally, SteelSeries supply the keyboards for both devices, which can be adjusted to any gameplay style thanks to individual key backlighting, which gives the GE75 and GE63 Raider a clear advantage over the competition.

MSI GT75 Titan and GT63 Titan

Naturally, MSI has upgraded its proven high-end notebooks, the GT75 Titan and GT63 Titan, to NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs too. Both models include either a GeForce RTX 2070 or an RTX 2080 GPU, which both pack 8 GB of GDDR6 VRAM. There are also four SO-DIMM slots for up to 64 GB of DDR4-2666 RAM. However, MSI equips the GT75 Titan with up to Intel Core i9-8950HK, while the GT63 Titan comes with only a Core i7-8750H. The former has four additional cores compared to its predecessor, which will provide a massive improvement in computing power.

Other virtues, like the 10 GBit Killer LAN Card and the Killer Wireless AC 1550 Adapter, guarantee smooth and lag-free gameplay, which is underpinned by an extensive Killer software suite. The GT75 and GT63 Titan both have PCIe NVMe SSDs in a RAID array and 144 Hz displays with 3 ms response times. MSI also sells a 4K option should you wish to game at higher resolutions.

Both devices support MSI’s Cooler Boost Titan cooling system, which integrates 11 heatpipes and two high-performance fans for optimal thermal performance. In short, the CPU and GPU should not thermal throttle even during long gaming sessions.

MSI has also equipped both devices with the world's first passive radiator system, which allows the GT75 and GT63 Titan to deliver crystal clear audio and powerful bass. The former also supports Hi-Res Audio and Nahimic 3 audio software for improved 3D surround sound.
