MSI has released plenty of QD-OLED gaming monitors this year, many of which it presented in January during CES 2024. By contrast, the company waited until early June to unveil the MPG 341CQPX as a more expensive alternative to the MAG 341CQP (curr. $695 - used on Amazon). Now, it has formally announced the former, despite having had the monitor listed on its website for almost a month.
Nonetheless, it seems that MSI is edging closer to actually releasing the monitor. Potentially, the MPG 341CQPX may launch alongside the MAG 271QPX QD-OLED E2, new details for which we have covered separately. To recap, the MPG 341CQPX utilises what appears to be a 'Gen 1.5' Samsung Display QD-OLED panel. Although neither MSI nor Samsung Display have confirmed as much, the MPG 341CQPX differs from the Gen 1-based MAG 341CQP with a 240 Hz refresh rate and VESA ClearMR 13000 certification.
With that being said, the MPG 341CQPX maintains a 3,440 x 1,440-pixel resolution with a 1800R curvature, 0.03 ms GtG response times and 250 nits peak SDR brightness or 1000 nits with HDR enabled (3% APL). While MSI has not confirmed a launch date yet, its website still shows $899.99 launch pricing. Please see MSI's MPG 341CQPX product page for further hardware details.
