Lenovo releases new laptop with Core Ultra 7 251HX, 32 GB RAM and 2.5K 240 Hz display

Lenovo is offering the P16v 2026 in two versions, with the main difference being the graphics. Both use Intel's Core Ultra 7 251HX, 32 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD. One comes with Nvidia's RTX PRO 1000, while the other gets the higher-end RTX PRO 2000.
We previously tested the ThinkPad P16v Gen 3 with an RTX PRO 2000. That model used Intel's Core Ultra 7 255H processor (available on Amazon).
For the screen, Lenovo uses a 16-inch 2.5K IPS touchscreen with a 240 Hz refresh rate. It can reach 500 nits of brightness and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color range. A 1080p infrared camera sits above the screen.
The P16v is 17.9 mm thick and has an 85 Wh battery. Lenovo uses a dual-fan cooling system and includes a 300 W power adapter. Lenovo says the laptop has passed 26 tests based on MIL-STD-810H.
The keyboard is full-size and includes a number pad. A pressure-sensitive touchpad sits below it, while four Harman Kardon speakers handle audio.
You won't run short of connectivity options. The laptop has two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 ports, and another USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 port. HDMI 2.1, an SD card reader, and a 3.5 mm audio jack are also available. For wireless connections, the laptop supports Wi-Fi 7.
