Deal | Lenovo US announces an "employee-discount" sale on Legion laptops, more
Lenovo's US webstore has begun what it calls a "You Pay What We Pay" event, which apparently entails the same kinds of discounts only normally available to the OEM's staff members. They include up to US$800 off an Intel 10th-gen Legion 7i laptop, as well as deals on gaming mice and headsets.
Lenovo US has started its You Pay What We Pay sale, which offers limited-time discounts on select Legion-brand laptops, as well as some gaming peripherals. They include up to US$800 off the price off a Legion 7i (or Slim 7) 15-inch PC.
Saying that, the discounts only apply to this PC's Core i7-10750H- to i9-10980HK- (and RTX 2080 Super Max-Q-) powered SKUs, and not their refreshed Ryzen-equipped counterparts. In fact, the only AMD option included in this sale is the 5 4600H-powered Legion 5, which is $200 off its normal $999 price for the duration of the event.
Those not in need of a new laptop might also be interested in a new Legion H300 Stereo Gaming Headset, set at $54.99 (or ~21% off its list price), or a ROCCAT Kain 200 mouse with its brand's AIMO lighting system at $70 (at a 30% discount).
The more budget Legion M300 RGB mouse is also down to $24.99 in this new You Pay What We Pay event, which is in effect from now until January 31, 2020.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
