Samsung refreshed the Galaxy Watch Ultra this year with a minor revision from 2024's release (curr. $599.99 on Amazon). Similarly, Apple presented the Watch Ultra 3 earlier this week alongside cheaper and smaller Watch Series 11 smartwatches. Now, it seems that Huawei is poised to do the same with not just the Watch GT 6 and Watch GT 6 Pro but also the Watch Ultimate 2.
In a similar vein, the Watch Ultimate 2 is said to be relying on almost the same features as the Watch Ultimate that Huawei introduced over two years ago. For instance, a 48.5 mm case size returns, as do three prominent hardware buttons, minimal display bezels and a design reminiscent of classic sport watches.
However, Huawei has adopted a different bezel design for this generation, which also comes adorned with 'Huawei Watch Ultimate' branding. Reportedly, the Watch Ultimate 2 will feature a silicon-carbon battery too for a 37% energy density and 65% overall capacity increase from the 530 mAh battery found inside the current Watch Ultimate. Currently, Roland Quandt expects Huawei to release the Watch Ultimate 2 for €899 (~$1,054) in two colour options. The same leaker believes that Huawei will present the smartwatch globally with the cheaper Watch GT 6 and Watch GT 6 Pro around September 19, 2025.
