MagyarLeaked iPhone 16 Pro cases show huge camera cut-out, possibly for a 5x zoom lens
The release of the iPhone 16 Pro, expected in September 2024, is almost upon us and the rumor mill is buzzing. After the end of April first concept images showing the successor to the iPhone 15 Pro with a larger display, a titanium frame and a capture button for easier handling of the camera, there is now a new leak that allows conclusions to be drawn about the camera of the new Apple flagship.
A leak published on May 28 on X (formerly Twitter) by Majin Bu (@MajinBuOfficial), a prominent leaker with almost 50,000 followers, reveals images of the cases for the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro. These images show a significantly larger camera section than the current Pro model, which could indicate a significant upgrade in the camera setup of the iPhone 16 Pro.

As the leaked images show, the camera housing of the iPhone 16 Pro is so large that it takes up more than half of the horizontal space. Even before the case leak, there was speculation that Apple would narrow the gap between the Pro and Pro Max models by giving the iPhone 16 Pro the 5x telephoto lens of the current iPhone 15 Pro Max. The new leaks confirm this assumption. There are already Rumors about the specs of the new Pro and Pro Max models, according to which the iPhone 16 Pro will not receive a new camera sensor.
