Leak reveals Motorola has new “Ultra” earbuds coming soon

Earlier this year, Motorola announced the Moto Buds 2 and Moto Buds 2 Plus at MWC 2026. Then in September, it announced the Moto Buds 2 Fusion, which seem to be exclusive to India. Now, a leak has revealed a new pair of earbuds is on the way.

According to the popular leaker, Evan Blass, Motorola is planning to launch a new pair of earbuds called the Moto Buds 2 Ultra. Based on the name, the upcoming pair of earbuds should sit at the top of Moto Buds 2 series. Unfortunately, there are no details about the earbuds' features, specifications, and pricing.

Nevertheless, based on the specs of the Moto Buds 2 Plus (currently available on Amazon for $99.99), we expect the Moto Buds 2 Ultra to have features such as active noise cancellation, support for LHDC for Hi-Res wireless audio, spatial audio, an ingress protection, Bluetooth 6.0, and Bluetooth Multipoint. They should also have Moto AI.

However, whether the Moto Buds 2 Ultra will feature Sound by Bose technology like the Moto Buds 2 Plus earbuds remains to be seen, considering Motorola's new partnership with Bang & Olufsen, which debuted on the Motorola Signature 27.

Thankfully, we won't have to wait for long for the Moto Buds 2 Ultra, as Evan Blass has revealed they will be announced in early November.
