Konkr Pocket Advance 90% shipped, Pocket Micro 2 delayed

Ayaneo has shipped about 90% of Konkr Pocket Advance pre-orders, according to a customer email sent in mid-October. The same update confirmed the Konkr Pocket Block is close to shipping and pushed the Pocket Micro 2 back by a week.

Pocket Advance orders nearly cleared

Ayaneo says most of the remaining Pocket Advance orders are for the Onyx Ice color, which it had already flagged as one of the last to ship. It expected to finish those orders, along with outstanding orders for other versions, the following week. The company is already scheduling further production batches and says new orders should ship in about two weeks.

The Pocket Advance is sold in regular colors, Peach and Onyx Ice. Onyx Ice, a translucent black limited edition, costs $109 for the 3GB/32GB model and $129 for the 4GB/64GB version.

Pocket Block shipping starts

Ayaneo said production of the Pocket Block is going smoothly. Shipping in China began on October 15, and the company has said international shipping starts by the end of October. The vertical Android handheld has a 3.33-inch 960 × 720 4:3 screen and a Helio G85 chip.

The early bird price is $79 for the 2GB/32GB model and $99 for the 3GB/64GB version, against retail prices of $89 and $109. Ayaneo’s store still lists the early bird prices at the time of writing.

Pocket Micro 2 slips to November

Ayaneo planned to start shipping the Pocket Micro 2 at the end of October, but its controller supplier delivered components a week late. Shipping now starts in early November, and orders placed in October are expected to ship in mid-November. Ayaneo apologized for the one-week delay. Only the 12GB/128GB configurations were in stock in its store on October 27: $309 for Frosty White and Midnight Black, and $339 for Stardust Purple. The 6GB and 8GB models showed as sold out.

What buyers should expect

Ayaneo’s timelines have slipped before. In September, it said it would ship only 50 to 60% of Pocket Advance pre-orders that month, even as it reported more than 20,000 sales in China alone. Treat the Pocket Block and Pocket Micro 2 dates as targets until shipping confirmations arrive.
