MagyarInsta360 Go 3S: New Insta360 action camera leaks with 4K capabilities and possible launch date
Early details about a new Insta360 device have leaked, courtesy of the ever-reliable Igor Bogdanov, who posts as @Quadro_News on X (formerly Twitter). In short, Bogdanov's various leaks have revealed the company's plans to introduce a new action camera rather than new 360 or VR options. Based on the images below, Insta360 will market the new device as the Go 3S, less than a year after the announcement of the Insta360 Go 3.
For reference, the Insta360 Go 3S will also follow on from the Insta360 X4 (curr. $499.99 on Amazon) that Insta360 unveiled earlier this year. Unsurprisingly, the Insta360 Go 3S will lack the 360-degree video recording capabilities of the X4. Likewise, its name implies that it will be an iterative update over last year's Insta360 Go 3.
However, the Go 3S is said to feature 4K video recording support, an upgrade over the 2.7K/30 FPS limit of its predecessor. Still, Insta360 will continue to sell Go series action cameras with an Action Pod that not only makes it resemble a conventional action camera but also expands its feature set in the process. Although pricing details remain unknown for now, Amazon briefly listed the camera with 128 GB of storage while also mentioning many shared features with the existing Insta360 Go 3.
Similarly, it is unclear when the Insta360 Go 3S will be available globally. With that being said, it seems that Insta360 will present the camera in China on June 13. Unfortunately, the company has not hinted whether this release will be exclusive to China or if it will extend to other markets as well.
