Huawei has confirmed the launch date of its new MatePad Pro in China. The official teaser reveals its design, while an earlier leak suggests several key specifications.

Huawei released the MatePad Pro Max in China in June 2026. Now, the company is preparing to introduce another tablet in the MatePad Pro series.

The Chinese tech giant has confirmed on its official Weibo account that the new MatePad Pro will be launched in China on August 5 at 2:30 PM local time. The tablet is shown in two color options: blue and pink.

The 2026 version of the MatePad Pro features a circular rear camera housing, similar to the Huawei MatePad Pro Max. The tablet will measure 4.7mm thick and weigh 439g. Furthermore, the official teaser confirms support for stylus and keyboard accessories.

Leaked specifications of the Huawei MatePad Pro (2026)

A previous leak from tipster Digital Chat Station suggests that the new MatePad Pro may feature an approximately 12-inch OLED display. It is expected to use a Kirin T93 series chipset. The tablet is also tipped to ship with a 66W charger and support Beidou satellite messaging.

Other details about the tablet are still scarce. Separately, Huawei has also confirmed it will launch a new MateBook Fold Ultimate Design in China on August 5.
