Helldivers 2 The Viper Commandos Premium Warbond confirmed for a June 13 release

Now that the air around Helldivers 2's controversial PlayStation Network ID linking has cleared, Arrowhead has announced some new in-game items. The next Premium Warbond, titled "The Viper Commandos", adds a slew of new weapons, boosters, emotes and for the first time ever, customization options for your Hellpods, Walkers and Extraction Shuttles.

The Viper Commandos adds some intriguing new weapons, such as throwing knives and the SG-22 Bushwhacker, a triple-barrel, sawed-off shotgun with multiple firing modes. The latter is a secondary weapon, meaning you can potentially deploy with two shotguns. Exactly where the throwing knives fit into the equation remain a mystery, but one can reasonably assume they'll take up the grenade slot.

You can purchase The Viper Commandos on June 13 via the PlayStation Store and Steam. Arrowhead has also stated it will slow down the pace at which it unveils new Warbonds. CEO Johan Pilestedt recently announced he relinquished his role to focus more on Helldivers 2's (curr. $40 on Amazon) development as Chief Content Officer, and it'll be interesting to see what he has lined up.
