HP releases new 14-inch laptop with 800-nit display, 5G cellular connectivity and 64 GB RAM

A few months have passed since HP updated the EliteBook 6 series. A cheaper alternative to the EliteBook 8 series, the EliteBook 6 series jumped to the G2 generation with a selection of 14-inch and 16-inch sizes. Not only that, but HP confirmed that the EliteBook 6 G2 series would be available with a variety of AMD and Intel processors.
Now, HP has quietly begun selling the EliteBook 6 G2a 14 with a range of AMD Gorgon Point processors. Replacing the EliteBook 6 G1a 14 (curr. $1,099 on Amazon), the EliteBook 6 G2a 14 is configurable in the US with the Ryzen AI 5 430, Ryzen AI 5 Pro 435, Ryzen AI 5 Pro 440, Ryzen AI 7 445 or the Ryzen AI 7 Pro 450.
Moreover, HP is offering the 14-inch laptop with 16 GB, 24 GB, 32 GB, 48 GB or 64 GB of RAM and up to a 1 TB PCIe Gen 5 SSD. Also, one can configure a SmartCard Reader, 5G cellular connectivity and NFC to complement its 68 Wh battery. On top of that, the US has received six display options, including an 800-nit panel featuring integrated privacy functionality.
Currently, prices start at $2,792 in the US with the Ryzen AI 5 430, 16 GB of RAM, a 512 GB SSD and a 1200p display. By contrast, the Eurozone has received the same SKU for €2,106 (~$2,347), including taxes. Meanwhile, an identical configuration retails for £1,359 (~$1,808) in the UK.
Alternatively, HP is selling the laptop in multiple configurations, up to and including the Ryzen AI 7 450 for £2,145. For reference, this SKU also contains 32 GB of RAM, a 1 TB SSD and a 120 Hz IPS display. Please see the company's website for more details.
