Deal | HP Victus 16 with RTX 4070 and AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS gets biggest price cut yet

The HP Victus series is a more affordable alternative to the higher-end Omen gaming laptops, but that doesn't mean that these machines can't be equipped with a reasonably powerful CPU and GPU combo. This is illustrated by a current deal on the AMD Ryzen 7 and RTX 4070-powered configuration of the HP Victus 16.

More precisely, this gaming notebook deal is available at Best Buy, which is granting a $250 or 18% discount on the aforementioned HP Victus 16, which takes the price down to $1,149. This 16-inch laptop is equipped with the AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070. Additionally, the HP Victus 16 has 16GB DDR5 memory and a 512GB SSD, but both of these components can be easily upgraded after purchase.

The arguably most disappointing aspect of the HP Victus 16 is the 1080p IPS display, which runs at up to 144Hz but doesn't get particularly bright and can't display the full sRGB color space. However, in our review of the Intel-equipped model variant, we praised the astoundingly long battery life of 8.5 hours when browsing via WiFi and the relatively quiet fans.

Please note that this AMD version with the RTX 4070 might perform differently compared to our cheaper test unit. Nonetheless, mid-range gamers who would like to stay under $1,200 and therefore sacrifice some picture quality in favor of a well-performing processor and graphics card might want to take the HP Victus 16 into consideration.
