Gigabyte has revealed the G34WQCP, an updated version of another 34-inch curved gaming monitor that the company has been selling for a few years. While not yet available to order, the Gigabyte G34WQCP is likely to officially launch soon for roughly $399.99 in the US.

Gigabyte has quietly introduced an update to the G34WQC (curr. $319.99 on Amazon) gaming monitor that it has been selling globally for the last few years. For now, the company has only listed what appears to be a complete G34WQCP product page. Thus, while the monitor's specifications and differences from the older G34WQC are known, its pricing is not.

With that being said, the masse of similarities that exist between the pair implies that Gigabyte will launch the G34WQCP for about as much as its predecessor, which was originally available for $399.99 in the US. According to the former's product page, it relies on a 34-inch VA panel with a 1500R curvature, just like the G34WQC. Additionally, it continues to offer 350 nits peak brightness with VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, 90% DCI-P3 colour space coverage and a 4,000:1 contrast ratio.

Moreover, the monitor boasts a 3,440 x 1,440-pixel resolution, 1 ms MPRT response times, AMD FreeSync Premium support and 178°(H)/178°(V) viewing angles, as well as the following ports:

  • 1x 3.5 mm jack
  • 2x DisplayPort 1.4
  • 2x HDMI 2.0

Furthermore, Gigabyte continues to include a pair of 2 W speakers, a height and tilt adjustable stand, plus 100 x 100 mm VESA mounts for using third-party stand solutions. As far as we can tell, the main difference between the G34WQC and G34WQCP lies in their refresh rates. Specifically, the G34WQCP peaks at 180 Hz, a 36 Hz and 25% improvement on the 144 Hz refresh rate provided by the G34WQC. Please see Gigabyte's G34WQCP product page for further hardware details.
