Motorola's latest online sale for the US lists the first-gen Razr+, the OEM's highest-end foldable smartphone of yesteryear, at $350 off its original price - which makes it cheaper than the new non-flagship Razr 2024. Meanwhile, a selection of other 2023 smartphones now start at just $99 as part of Motorola's new Star Spangled event.

Now that the Razr 2024 has been released at a price of $699.99, the Razr+ 2023 is officially $50 cheaper on either motorola.com or Amazon.

The 2 devices look very similar with 3.6-inch cover displays for their cutting-edge clamshell bodies - however, it should be noted that the Razr 2024's main screen is 120Hz and driven by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300X, whereas the Razr+ 2023 has Motorola's full-speed 165Hz foldable technology powered by the formerly top-end Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.

Motorola's new Star Spangled Sale also lists the plain Razr 2023 (a foldable with a 144Hz main display of its own, even if it falls behind with its last-gen strip of cover screen) at its newly reduced price of $449.99, whereas the Moto G Play (2023) is currently $99 rather than $169.

Some 2024 devices are involved in the new event too, such as the new Moto G Stylus and Power 5G, which now start at $20 off their RRPs of $149.99 and $279.99 respectively.

Then again, the G Power 5G (2023) is also available for $299.99 with a pair of Moto Buds 600 for free during the sale.
