Garmin releases new update for high-end smartwatches with system improvements and other changes

Garmin has returned with a new update for the Fenix 8 (curr. $999.99 on Amazon). According to the company, the update is also available on other related smartwatches, including the Enduro 3 and Tactix 8. Additionally, it is offering the same software to Pro-branded models like the Fenix 8 Pro.
Specifically, Garmin has pushed version 24.14 to those enrolled on its Beta Program. In an associated forum post, Garmin describes ten new changes from Beta Version 24.13. For reference, the company introduced the latter a week ago with forty-five changes from System Software 23.40 that preceded it.
Of the ten changes listed, all but one are bug fixes. As the changelog below shows, Beta Version 24.14 disables the 'change search area' icon from appearing when using prefecture search functionality. Additionally, the new beta update promises to address three issues that caused system crashes on earlier firmware. At this stage, Garmin has not revealed when it intends to transition v24.xx development to its stable software branch. The full changelog between Beta Versions 24.13 and 24.14 is as follows:
- Disables "change search area" icon on prefecture search.
- Fixes a blue fullscreen appearing when the screen is dimmed during "Free" Meditation Type meditation activities.
- Fixes a watch face data field being cropped when in Czech.
- Fixes an issue that could add an extra swim length after stopping an activity.
- Fixes an issue where device will crash when using navigation, or routing using a point of interest, during an activity.
