Garmin leak reveals Enduro 4 and new Garmin Connect+ features

Garmin Connect is the companion app for Garmin smartwatches and other devices, handling data synchronisation with Garmin’s cloud and enabling firmware updates—particularly for devices without direct Wi-Fi connectivity. An APK teardown of version 5.26 reveals clear hints of a new smartwatch and additional features, though these findings should be treated with caution. The details, first reported by Gadget & Wearables, are not yet officially confirmed.
The most notable discovery is a reference to the Enduro 4. The Enduro series is essentially a battery-focused variant of the Fenix lineup, typically featuring solar charging for extended runtime. It remains unclear whether the Enduro 4 will align more closely with the Fenix 8 Pro (available on Amazon), potentially adding LTE and satellite communication, or with the already tested Fenix 8 Solar. This distinction matters, as current Fenix 8 Pro models use AMOLED displays, and Garmin has yet to combine AMOLED panels with solar charging.
Additional findings in the APK point to expanded phone functionality, including possible call categorisation. There are also indications of tweaks to emergency features such as automatic incident detection, along with new capabilities tied to the Garmin Connect+ subscription.
