Garmin CIRQA competitor turns into smart ring: Alloop unveils Trio

Health wearables without displays are becoming increasingly popular. Products such as the Garmin CIRQA, the Google Fitbit Air ($99 on Amazon) or the Oura Smart Ring collect heart rate, activity and sleep data around the clock. Alloop Trio offers comparable functionality but uses an innovative design.
Alloop Trio can be worn on either the finger or the wrist. To make this possible, the manufacturer combines the so-called "Cube", a small sensor module with a battery life of seven days, with one of three add-ons. The ring add-on turns Cube into a lightweight metal smart ring. A particularly thin and light wristband add-on puts the Cube on your wrist.
Alternatively, this wristband can also be fitted with the "Halo", a power bank with a stylish, partially transparent design that is intended to enable significantly longer battery life when worn on the wrist. Halo also has built-in microphones for recording voice notes. Alloop Trio is water-resistant to 5 ATM and can therefore also be worn while swimming. The sensor module weighs just 2.4 grams and primarily contains a PPG sensor, but the manufacturer has not yet published the full specifications.
Alloop Trio to be funded through Kickstarter
Alloop Trio is set to be offered at prices starting at $299 when the wearable is funded through Kickstarter. The launch date for the crowdfunding campaign has not yet been confirmed. The companion smartphone app is already available. More details about Alloop Trio can be found on the manufacturer's website .
