GameSir teases a new special edition controller based on upcoming video game

Just a few days after launching its latest special edition controller, the G7 Pro 8K PC Phantom Blade Zero Edition, GameSir has teased a new collaboration with another upcoming video game.
According to a post on its social media channels, GameSir is collaborating with Showa American Story, an upcoming single-player action RPG developed by Nekcom, a Chinese game studio. The game is set in a fictional version of America that is heavily influenced by Japanese culture and has a female protagonist called Choko Chigusa. Showa American Story doesn't have a release date yet, but is reported to be released this year.
The post includes an image that shows three characters, presumed to be from the game; two of them are standing next to a red taxi cab, while the third is behind the wheel. There's also GameSir's logo and that of the video game on the image and the words “Global Partner” written below the logos.
While GameSir doesn't explicitly say what the collaboration is about, a report from a Chinese publication says the gaming accessory manufacturer confirmed in a Weibo post that it is making a special edition controller based on the game.
There's no info on which specific GameSir controller will get the Showa American Story makeover, but our guess is that it will most likely be one of the G7 Pro controllers (available on Amazon for 79.99), although not the Xbox version of the controller, since the game is only confirmed to launch on PC and PS5.
Nekcom also posted about the partnership on its Weibo account, and revealed that both brands will be at the G-Fusion Game Festival 2026 which holds this weekend in Beijing, China. However, it is not known if the special edition controller will be showcased at the event. Nevertheless, Nekcom says that it will share details about the game including gameplay at the gaming festival.
