The Dangbei X5SPro 4K laser projector is now available to pre-order in China. The DLP model has an ALPD laser light source and can produce images up to 300 inches (~760 cm) wide. Other features include the ability to rotate up to 360°, an automatic focus tool, and air gesture controls.

Dangbei has launched the X5SPro, a 4K laser projector, in China. The company suggests that its new product could be used in a home theatre or office to watch movies or play games. Dangbei highlights the use of the MT9679 chip, which it describes as a flagship model.

The X5SPro’s ALPD laser light source is said to deliver up to 3,300 CVIA or 2,250 lumens brightness. According to Dangbei, the DLP projector has a 4K resolution, though it is likely a pixel-shifting device, with 120Hz MEMC and support for HDR10+. The model can produce images up to 300 inches (~760 cm) wide, with a 1.27:1 throw ratio. The company describes the X5SPro as a super PTZ projector, with the ability to rotate 360° and tilt up to 120°, helping you to find the perfect image position. Other image enhancement tools include autofocus, screen fit and obstacle avoidance tools thanks to AI and a dToF LiDAR sensor.

The Android 11 projector runs Dangbei OS 4.2, with features like air gesture controls, Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6 connectivity. The model has dual 12W speakers, compatible with Dolby Audio and DTS:X, and a range of ports such as HDMI 2.1 (eARC) and USB 3.0. You can now pre-order the Dangbei X5SPro 4K laser projector in China with a small deposit to lock in the discounted price of 6,399 yuan (~$900). It is unclear whether or when the product could launch in other countries like the US, where the company offers devices like the Atom 1080P Laser Projector.
