Loftia's colorful world
Farming, floating islands and a little urban exploration await in Loftia's Early Access version. The cozy multiplayer adventure features three regions, four story chapters and a bundle that even throws in a robot companion.

Qloud Games' cozy massively multiplayer online (MMO) game Loftia is now available in Early Access, inviting players into a colorful world of floating islands, sustainable farming and community projects. The initial version includes four story chapters spanning three regions: Loftia City, the Hanging Gardens and Gridfall.

Each region offers something different. Loftia City serves as the central social hub, while the Hanging Gardens feature lush greenery, fishing spots, community farms and a mysterious forest. Gridfall takes a less peaceful approach, with abandoned buildings, air rails, skyscrapers and underground tunnels to explore. Apparently, even a relaxing island getaway needs a little parkour.

Beyond the main storyline, players can complete side quests, participate in World Projects, adopt pets, customize their homes and venture into distant research islands. Sustainable farming also plays a role, with hydroponics and renewable energy among the available systems.

The developers expect Early Access to last approximately one year, with additional islands, characters, quests and social features planned before version 1.0. Loftia is available on Steam and the Epic Games Store for PC and Mac, with a 17% introductory discount bringing the US price to $24.89, down from $29.99.

The Growing Together Bundle, priced at $49.87 in the US during the introductory offer, adds the original soundtrack, nature-themed cosmetics and Greeny, a robot companion. According to the developers, 10% of the bundle's purchase price will support reforestation through One Tree Planted.

There is plenty more promised, although how much of it eventually materializes will depend on development and community feedback.
