Compact Android tablet set to launch with 8.7-inch display and 4G LTE

Alldocube has started teasing a new compact Android tablet called the iPlay 80 mini in Japan. It will join the existing iPlay 80 mini lineup, which includes the iPlay 80 mini Pro and the more performance-focused iPlay 80 mini Turbo.
The company's Japanese social media posts describe the iPlay 80 mini as a compact tablet for reading comics, browsing and use on the go. Its 8.7-inch screen is larger than the 8.4-inch panel on the iPlay 80 mini Pro, although Alldocube has not yet shared the display resolution or refresh rate.
The tablet measures 7.8 mm (0.31 inches) thick and weighs approximately 350 g (0.77 lb), according to the promotional images. Alldocube has also confirmed 4G LTE connectivity, allowing users to access the internet while travelling without relying on Wi-Fi or phone tethering.
The iPlay 80 mini Turbo takes a more performance-focused approach with an 8.8-inch 2.5K display, a 120Hz refresh rate and a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor. Alldocube has yet to reveal the processor or other key hardware specifications of the new model.
Alldocube has scheduled the iPlay 80 mini's Japanese launch for November 4, 2026. The company has not announced its price or confirmed availability outside Japan.
