Nothing CEO Carl Pei tacitly confirmed the 'AI-powered' Nothing Phone 3 is coming next year. Meanwhile, the company also those looking for a more affordable offering. Nothing's sub-brand, CMF, has teased the launch of its first-ever smartphone called the CMF Phone 1. It comes after a slew of leaks predicted its existence.
CMF's official X handle also showed off a portion of the phone's chassis highlighting its orange colour chassis and rounded edge, which presumably is a dial. Exactly what purpose serves is unknown, but users speculate it could serve as a lanyard holder. It also deviates from Nothing's signature glyph-based design, presumably to help users differentiate between the two offerings.
The company (and its parent) says it is "coming soon". It could be unveiled alongside a new smartwatch that was spotted on a certification website earlier. Specs-wise, the CMF Phone 1 is expected to pack a MediaTek Dimensity 7200, a 6.7-inch 120 Hz OLED screen, and a 5,000 mAh battery. It is touted to be cheaper than the Nothing Phone 2a.
