Baldur's Gate 3 has surpassed 23 million copies sold, generating over $1.2 billion in revenue

Baldur's Gate 3 was released in August 2023, and it didn't take long for Larian Studios' RPG to become one of the biggest games in the industry. By September last year, the game had already sold more than 15 million copies. More than a year later, its sales have continued to grow significantly, reaching another major milestone.
According to new data from Alinea Analytics, Baldur's Gate 3 has now sold around 23.2 million copies across all platforms, generating more than $1.2 billion in revenue. Steam accounts for the vast majority of those sales, with around 18.7 million copies, or 80.6% of the total. PS5 follows with 2.9 million copies, while Xbox accounts for another 1.6 million.
The game also continues to attract millions of players despite being more than three years old. According to the data, its monthly active player count has never dropped below 2 million across all platforms. Last month alone, Baldur's Gate 3 had around 2.2 million monthly active users, with Steam once again accounting for the largest share.
Even on a daily basis, the RPG reportedly continues to attract between 280,000 and 400,000 players. Alinea Analytics also mentions that 1% of its player base, or just under 200,000 people, have played Baldur's Gate 3 for more than 500 hours.
