Ayn's Odin 3 Portal Android handheld will charge slower than originally reported

The Odin 3 Portal is Ayn's latest handheld, arriving as a successor to the Odin 2 Portal and as a larger variant of the Odin 3. Already available to pre-order and with shipping expected to begin this month, Ayn has made a clarification about a key specification of the handheld.
According to a post on its Discord channel, Ayn says the Odin 3 Portal's charging rate stated at launch is incorrect. The handheld, which has a 9,000mAh battery capacity, was originally revealed to charge at 60W, just like the Odin 3. However, Ayn says that the maximum charging rate for the Odin 3 Portal is actually 45W, and that's what will be delivered in the final device. It cites an internal documentation discrepancy as the reason for the error in the first place.
While 45W is not slow, 60W is certainly faster, and is what most, if not all, owners would prefer, considering the Odin 3 Portal has a larger battery capacity than the Odin 3. On the bright side, 45W is faster than the 27W of the Odin 2 Portal (available on Amazon for $359). Thankfully, Ayn hasn't revealed any other changes to the rest of the specifications.
The Odin 3 Portal has a 7-inch 120Hz Full HD OLED display, a Qualcomm Dragonwing Q8 processor, up to 16GB of RAM, and up to 1TB of UFS 3.1 storage. It runs Android 15 out of the box and features Hall Effect sticks, dual back buttons, a cooling fan, RGB lights, and a microSD card slot. It also has an audio jack, a USB-C port with DisplayPort support (4K at 60fps), Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6.0.
Pricing starts at $399 for the base model with 12GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, and goes up to $669 for the 16GB RAM version with 1TB of storage.
