Audi executives confirmed the Q6 E-Tron Sportback and the RS Q6 E-Tron as the latest additions to the Q6 E-Tron series. Based on the PPE platform, both EVs will launch sometime in 2025, with the Sportback variant coming first. Audi is also releasing a new fully-electric A6 soon.

Audi is updating the Q6 E-Tron lineup with two new variants, the Q6 E-Tron Sportback and an RS version of Q6 E-Tron. The Sportback was teased earlier in March at the official Q6 E-Tron launch. Both variants are likely slated for a 2025 release as per InsideEVs, and will use the same PPE (Premium Platform Electric) as the standard Q6 E-Tron and the Porsche Macan EV.

Early spy shots of the Q6 E-Tron Sportback hint towards a sportier roofline compared to the standard Q6 E-Tron. Details for the RS Q6 E-Tron remain undisclosed, but Audi representatives assured it will be a "sizable" upgrade over the SQ6 E-Tron, which offers a claimed range of 598 kilometers.

Audi has future plans to transition even-numbered models in its lineup, such as the A4 and A6, to electric platforms based on the PPE architecture, while odd numbers will be reserved for combustion-based models. Additionally, the company mentioned that the next A6 will be based on the same PPE platform. While a US release for the Audi RS Q6 E-Tron and Q6 E-Tron Sportback is likely, those interested will have to wait until next year for an official launch.
