Asus confirms pricing for new 540 Hz and 1,700-nit OLED gaming monitor
Asus has shed new light on one of its latest high-end gaming monitors. To recap, the company unveiled the ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace in June during Computex 2026. As we discussed at the time, the ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace was billed as the world's first 24.5-inch OLED gaming monitor with a 540 Hz refresh rate.
Featuring a Tandem OLED panel, the ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace outputs at 1,920 x 1,080 pixels with 0.02 ms GtG response times aided by Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium variable refresh rate (VRR) technologies. Moreover, the monitor is said to peak at 1,700 nits when viewing HDR content and 390 nits in SDR mode.
On top of that, the ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace contains a TrueBlack Glossy coating with OLED Care Pro support to minimise OLED burn-in. Currently, Asus has priced its new 540 Hz monitor at £629 (~$839) in the UK and €724 (~$809) in the Eurozone, including taxes. For reference, the ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace offers a slower refresh rate than the ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS or ROG Strix XG248QSG (curr. $799 on Amazon).
However, the ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace is over 35% cheaper than the ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS. Incidentally, Asus has revealed pricing for the more expensive ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS too, full details of which we have covered separately. Please see Asus' website and our launch article for more details about the ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace.
