ROG Mjolnir is intended to provide an uninterrupted supply of portable power, as the gigantic power bank in the shape of a hammer is supposedly able to supply a gaming tower with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 with power for a whole hour.

Uninterruptible power banks are usually used at home to supply a PC with power for short periods of time, also in the event of power outages, so that no data is lost. Asus recently presented the ROG Mjolnir at Computex, a suitable power supply for on the go, as the device is designed to be particularly easy to transport thanks to the integrated handle.

With two USB-C ports, one of which can provide up to 100 watts and the other a maximum of 65 watts of power, as well as three USB-A ports that can charge devices with up to 10 watts each, ROG Mjolnir can easily be used as a gigantic power bank. Asus has also installed four sockets, which can be used to power a gaming tower and a monitor, among other things. The 768 Wh battery is said to provide enough energy to power a high-end gaming desktop for an hour.

ROG Mjolnir has a large display that shows details of ongoing charging processes and the remaining battery charge. Another practical aspect is that ROG Mjolnir has an integrated Qi charging pad for charging smartphones wirelessly, while the handle of the hammer can be removed and used as a flashlight that is automatically charged in the base. Asus emphasizes that the battery only takes 10 milliseconds to kicks in if the power goes out, while ROG Mjolnir can be recharged by a separately available solar panel.

Price and availability

Asus has not yet confirmed any details on price or availability of the ROG Mjolnir.
