A second wave of availability for Apple's inaugural VR/AR headset is allegedly about to begin. It might bring the Vision Pro to other countries, albeit not many, with a very short list most often tipped to include Canada, China and the United Kingdom.
On that note, Apple Stores in the UK are now said to have just taken delivery of very large consignments linked to the upcoming product. However, they are thought to contain specific new store furniture associated with the bespoke, concierge-like in-person demos and fitting sessions for the Vision Pro rather than shipments of the headset itself.
Nevertheless, they are expected to arrive in conjunction with an international launch event allegedly scheduled for July 2024. Then again, those plans might be a case of 'too little, too late' for a first-gen headset already reportedly waning in popularity and uptake in the US - in addition, the Vision Pro still starts at $3,499 and is not likely to get cheaper elsewhere on Earth.
In fact, one might be as well off availing of the current deal on the Meta Quest 2, by which it now starts from just $198 on Amazon.
