Jon Prosser is back at it again with a high-quality 3D render of what might just be Apple's center-stage product for the October 13 launch. The leaker has also added that the new MacBooks will be announced at a later date.

It looks like Apple will host two events this month, one on October 13 and the other on October 27. While the October 13 event has been confirmed and will feature new smart home products, the October 27 event that is expected to bring new MacBooks is not. For next week’s “event,” infamous leaker Jon Prosser has shared a render for what the long-awaited smart home hub will look like, along with some additional details.

Despite the ongoing legal case between Apple and Jon Prosser, the leaker continues to release videos on Apple products before the official unveiling. This latest one (linked at the end), however, is purely based on previous leaks by Mark Gurman and brings essentially a 3D render of what the HomePad or smart home hub could look like. Apple is expected to unveil the smart home hub on October 13 at the “Welcome Home” event.

Speaking of which, Prosser states it won’t be an actual event like an iPhone launch, but a YouTube launch video instead. More importantly, Prosser’s video shows a device with a display mounted to a round base akin to the iMac G4 from 2002. Gurman has claimed that’s the design Apple is going for with its upcoming smart home hub. It is believed to come in two different versions, a desktop and a wall-mounted display, but Prosser in his video shows the same device sitting on a flat surface and also mounted to the wall.

This device is expected to recognize different members in the household via their face and voice, though it doesn’t have Face ID. That said, it will be able to present a custom home screen and content related to the person it recognizes. It will also have Siri AI built in.

It should be noted that Apple, of course, has not shared any information on what it will announce at the October 13 “event,” but three devices, including the HomePad, are expected. The Apple TV 4K is said to get a refresh, and new HomePod mini speakers are expected to replace the now six-year-old smart speakers.
