Anker has an extremely broad range of products for the smart home, such as surveillance cameras, under the Eufy brand. In this context, the company has just announced a new product, the C33, which is a smart door lock with a door handle. The model is designed to make unlocking easy with various unlocking methods.
The door lock supports both Bluetooth 5.0 and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, which are also generally used for integration into the smart home, and Bluetooth can be used to establish a direct connection between the smart door lock and a smartphone. The photo displayed also shows how the door lock can be unlocked remotely using a corresponding app.
The C33 also comes with a fingerprint sensor, which enables smart locks to be unlocked quickly and securely without having to use a smartphone or key. A code pad is also integrated, allowing the lock to be opened via code. This makes it easy to pass the code on, for example, to friends or if you are renting out your home (for a short time).
The lock is powered by AA batteries, is protected against dust and water in accordance with IP53, and the battery life is said to be up to 12 months. A release date has not been specified: Anker only states that the C33 "will be available to order via Amazon for $159.99 soon."
A possible alternative: Buy the Philips WiFi Smart Door Lock from Amazon.
