Analogue has announced the Super Nt Plus and Mega Sg Plus, updated consoles that play original SNES and Sega Genesis/Mega Drive cartridges. Both add built-in wireless controller support, USB-C power and a redesigned exterior while retaining 1080p output.

Analogue has announced updated versions of its Super Nt and Mega Sg retro consoles, adding built-in wireless connectivity, USB-C power and a redesigned exterior. The Super Nt Plus and Mega Sg Plus will each cost $219.99, with preorders opening on October 19 and shipping expected to begin in December.

Like their predecessors, the consoles play original game cartridges: the Super Nt Plus supports Nintendo’s SNES library, while the Mega Sg Plus is designed for Sega Genesis and Mega Drive games. Both use field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) to recreate the original consoles’ hardware behavior rather than relying on conventional software emulation.

The biggest practical upgrade is integrated wireless controller support. Both models offer Bluetooth and low-latency 2.4GHz connectivity, allowing compatible gamepads to connect without a separate wireless adapter.

Analogue has also added USB-C power, replacing the older-style power connection, and an additional USB-A port for peripherals. The company describes the updated exterior as a “reworked industrial design.”

Both consoles retain 1080p video output rather than offering the 4K support available on the Nintendo 64-compatible Analogue 3D.

Preorders for the Super Nt Plus and Mega Sg Plus are scheduled to open on October 19, with shipping expected to begin in December.
