Two firmware updates were recently released for one of Amazfit’s older smartwatches. Versions 6.4.14.1 and 6.4.15.1 bring several new features and improvements to the Balance 2.

Amazfit recently issued two updates for the Balance 2 smartwatch. This older wearable was last updated in mid-September with firmware version 6.3.25.3, which added a new HYROX Analysis feature and a screen free device management tool.

The two latest Amazfit Balance 2 smartwatch updates are versions 6.4.14.1 and 6.4.15.1. The first of the two is said to improve the sensitivity of the wrist raise to wake function during workouts and bring an upgrade to Cycle Tracking. The release adds support for a wider range of waypoint icons and types for the watch’s maps. Plus, users now have the option to enable and disable the Auto Grouping feature of Strength Training workouts.

Firmware version 6.4.14.1 for the Amazfit Balance 2 smartwatch is said to optimize turn alert calculations. According to the brand, turns are now detected with a greater level of accuracy. The pace and stroke-rate charts for pool swimming, Pickleball mode and the post-workout RPE entry flow are also improved with this release. According to Chinese Smartwatches, the more recently released version 6.4.15.1 update did not have any major changes or improvements listed in its change log. Instead, it is thought to bring minor improvements to the wearable.

As usual, the latest firmware for the Amazfit Balance 2 smartwatch (curr. $299.99 at Amazon) will be rolled out to users in phases. When it is available in your region, you will be able to install the update via the Zepp app.
