Amazfit releases new update for multiple smartwatches with navigation features

Amazfit has announced a new update for multiple smartwatches. Officially named the September 2026 software update, it is available for many of the brand’s Balance, T-Rex, Cheetah and Active series wearables (complete list below).
The Amazfit September 2026 software release brings support for seven more coordinate formats to smartwatch users. These can be accessed from Settings > Preferences > Coordinates. Another navigation-related improvement is more accurately calculated turn alerts, and extra waypoint types and icons.
Amazfit’s latest update also includes a new setting for the home screen, with the UI background blur now able to be toggled on or off. Plus, the sensitivity of Raise-to-Wake has been enhanced, and the post-workout flow for Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE) is said to be better. Changes have also been made to cycle tracking, strength training, pool swimming and pickleball activities. You can find the complete change log on Amazfit’s website.
It is worth noting that some of these features have already been pushed to Amazfit smartwatch users in earlier firmware releases. Plus, a similar update also appears to be rolling out to Balance 2, as reported by users on Reddit, despite not being officially announced by Amazfit.
