Amazfit T-Rex Dual Solar now shipping in Europe, offers two solar panels

The Amazfit T-Rex Dual Solar ($649 on Amazon) was announced in mid-September, and has been available in the U.S. for a few weeks. The watch is now finally shipping in Europe as of today. The smartwatch is now available for €649.90 in the Amazfit online store. The smartwatch's standout feature is that it has two solar panels. As with the Garmin Fenix 9 Pro Solar, Amazfit combines the display with solar cells.
In addition, however, the glass-ceramic back is also equipped with solar cells, which cover roughly twice the area of the panels on the front. This should allow the smartwatch to charge particularly quickly using solar energy when attached to a backpack, for example, so that both sides are exposed to daylight. Amazfit advertises a battery life of up to 25 days without solar charging, 34 days with three hours of sunlight per day on the front, or 51 days with three hours of sunlight per day on the back.
The T-Rex Dual Solar is also designed to be particularly rugged, with a titanium bezel, sapphire glass, and a case water-resistant to 10 ATM. The 1.32-inch AMOLED display achieves an impressive brightness of 3,000 nits and a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. In addition to a heart rate and SpO2 sensor, Amazfit includes a skin temperature sensor, but omits an ECG.
An NFC chip for contactless payments comes as standard, as do a speaker, microphones, and a GPS module. With Amazfit LiveShare, the smartwatch can share the wearer's location, distance traveled, pace, and current heart rate with selected friends, so they can see if problems arise.
