Affordable 5G Vivo phone debuts with 8,000mAh battery and 2TB microSD support

Vivo recently launched an affordable phone with a big 8,000mAh battery, the Y32 4G, and has now introduced the 5G version of the device. Most of the specs are identical between the two phones, and it's only the processor that sets them apart.
To be precise, the Vivo Y32 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, an entry-level processor from 2023. For reference, the 4G variant was powered by the Unisoc T7300, which offers a similar level of performance to the Qualcomm SoC, but it doesn't have a 5G modem.
Other than that, the rest of the specs are identical, with the Y32 5G featuring the same 6.87-inch LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The 8,000mAh battery still remains a big highlight of the newly introduced phone, and Vivo claims that it can offer up to 37 hours of local video playback.
There's 44W fast charging, and thanks to the reverse charging support, users can take advantage of the large battery to recharge other devices through the phone. Vivo lists only one configuration, which comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Thanks to the microSD slot, the total storage can be expanded by up to 2TB (512GB Samsung P9 curr. $99 on Amazon).
Camera-wise, the Y32 5G brings the same 50MP primary camera on the back with a rather useless 2MP auxiliary sensor. There's an 8MP selfie shooter on the front. Among the other notable aspects are WiFi 5, IP68 and IP69 water and dust resistance ratings, and dual SIM card support.
The company hasn't yet shared pricing details of the Vivo Y32 5G. However, given that it's powered by an entry-level SoC from 2023, it should launch as an affordable phone.
