Affordable 16-inch Teclast portable monitor launches globally with 144Hz refresh rate

Teclast has launched a new portable monitor in the global market: the V16Q. It comes with a 16-inch IPS display that features 2,560x1,600 pixels resolution. With a 144Hz refresh rate, it claims to offer a smooth overall gaming experience.
These specs make the V16Q very similar to options like the VisionOwl V16QH, but there are some differences. For instance, Teclast claims that the 16-inch IPS panel has a brightness rating of 490 nits, making it slightly brighter than the competing model VisionOwl, which has a 470-nit rating.
Another notable difference is FreeSync support, with which the Teclast V16Q can offer tear-free images. Moving beyond the differences, this new 16-inch portable monitor has two USB-C ports, and the company says both are full-function ports, meaning they can receive video and power simultaneously.
It has a mini HDMI port, which expands the device compatibility, but when that's in use, the portable monitor will require external power. Teclast further highlights the slim and lightweight build of the V16Q, and the built-in stand is said to make it easier to set the display at different angles.
Other highlights include VESA compatibility, a built-in dual-speaker setup, and HDR10 support. This affordable 144Hz portable monitor is available on Amazon with a promotional launch price of $129.99, but its listed price is $159.99.
