The Qualcomm Adreno 740 is a smartphone and tablet GPU that is integrated within the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC. The chip will be available starting early 2023 and will be used mainly in high-end Android devices.
According to Qualcomm, the Adreno GPU offers a 25% improved performance compared to the Adreno 730 predecessor in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 . First benchmarks show that the Adreno GPU can even beat the Apple A16 GPU (iPhone 14 Pro series) in synthetic benchmarks. Therefore, the Adreno 740 is the fastest graphics chip for smartphones in 2022.
The iGPU supports hardware accelerated ray tracing and a game post processing accelerator (for bloom, depth of field and motion blur). Another first, is the support for Vulkan 1.3.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is produced in the modern 4nm process at TSMC.
AMD Radeon Pro WX 4130 ► remove from comparison
The AMD Radeon Pro WX 4130 is a professional workstation graphics card for laptops . It was announced early 2017 and is intended for Kaby-Lake based professional notebooks. The AMD Radeon Pro (formerly known as FirePro) is the counterpart to the Quadro series from Nvidia and offers certified drivers for professional 3D applications (CAD and DCC).
The WX4130 is based on the Polaris 11 or 12 chip and offers 640 shaders like the older AMD Radeon Pro 450 (entry level MacBook Pro 15 2016) . However, the WX 4130 is clocked higher at 1053 versus 800 MHz. Therefore, the performance should be more similar to the Radeon Pro 455 (768 Shaders at 855 MHz) . Due to the higher clock speed we suspect the newer Polaris 12 chip, that is manufactured in an improved 14nm (LPP+) process and allows the chip to be clocked higher.

Qualcomm Adreno 710 ► remove from comparison
The Adreno 710 is a graphics unit for smartphones and tablets, which was first installed in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 . The chip has been available since the end of 2023 and is primarily used in Android-based upper mid-range devices.
HDR gaming with 10-bit color depth is possible with the graphics chip, which supports the APIs OpenGL ES 3.2, OpenCL 2.0 FP and Vulkan 1.13.
The GPU is able to control FHD+ displays with up to 144 Hz and offers support for HDR10 and HDR vivid.
