Adata XPG Nia gaming handheld to launch alongside Asus ROG Ally X
The Asus ROG Ally X is all set to be officially unveiled at Computex 2024, which will kick off on June 4. But that's not the only new gaming handheld that will be showcased at the event. We've already got a teaser from Zotac about its Zone, and it's also planned to be shown off at the same event. Then, there are words about Lenovo introducing Legion Go Lite (Legion Go 16/512 GB curr. $628.98 on Amazon).
Now, Adata has announced that it will be launching its very first gaming handheld, the Adata XPG Nia. The company hasn't revealed much about it, though. All that it said that the device will combine "superior ergonomics with a circular computing design." This aims to deliver an "ultra-comfortable experience."
What's more interesting is that the design will enable the gamers to "mod the device to their liking." While Adata didn't further explain what this means, it's likely hinting at a modular design. This claim wouldn't make much sense if the XPG Nia only allows users to upgrade storage, as you can do it with pretty much every gaming handheld.
Perhaps Adata is planning to offer something similar to what Ayaneo is offering for its older gaming handhelds, allowing motherboard swaps. When it comes to the "circular computing" part, it's likely hinting that the core components are locked down, as the press release does talk a lot about sustainability.
The good part is that we don't need to wait long to find out all about the Adata XPG Nia gaming handheld because Computex 2024 is just around the corner.
