Acer relaunches 14-inch laptop with new version

Less than six months have passed since Acer updated its Swift Air series with new 14-inch and 16-inch models sporting Intel Wildcat Lake processors. Regardless, it has now refreshed the smaller of the two with new AMD options.
Specifically, Acer has released Ryzen AI 5 330 and Ryzen AI 7 345-powered variants in Japan. For reference, these processors are already available in Acer-branded laptops like the Aspire 16 (curr. $899 on Amazon). According to our data, the Ryzen AI 7 345 leads the Ryzen AI 5 330 by about 28% in CPU benchmarks and over 80% in GPU equivalents.
Acer also equips the new Swift Air 14 with 16 GB of RAM, a 512 GB M.2 2280 SSD and a 50 Wh battery that supports 65 W charging. Moreover, the laptop contains a 1200p, 16:10 and 300-nit OLED display, as well as full-sized HDMI and USB Type-A ports. Nonetheless, the Swift Air 14 tips the scales at approximately 960 g while being 14.9 mm thick.
The new Swift Air 14 starts at JPY 195,800 (~$1,245), compared to JPY 139,800 (~$889) for Intel Wildcat Lake-powered variants. Alternatively, the new 14-inch laptop retails for JPY 212,800 (~$1,352) with the more powerful Ryzen AI 7 345 processor. Acer has not confirmed international availability yet.
