Computex 2024 | Acemagic showcases dual-screen laptop with Alder Lake Intel Core i7
GPD Duo isn’t the only dual-screen laptop that’s being showcased at Computex 2024. Acemagic Z1A is also being shown off. But unlike GPD’s offering, Acemagic’s offering folds horizontally, which does make it seem a little less portable. However, this horizontal design may be a bit more natural for those who are already using a multi-screen setup.
Nonetheless, Acemagic might not be targeting the high-end market with Z1A. After all, it comes with Intel Alder Lake CPUs, with options for Intel Core i7 1265U and Core i7 1265U. The brand didn’t share full details on the other specs besides saying that the laptop features LPDDR4 memory and supports two M.2 2280 SSDs.
However, Acemagic did reveal the dimensions of its dual-screen laptop. The Z1A measures 33.2 x 22.2 x 2.1 cm, and it weighs 1.8 KG (about 3.968 lbs). We also have the screen details. Both are 14.1-inch in size, have 1080p resolution, are IPS panels, and, as mentioned earlier, the secondary screen folds horizontally. This makes the Z1A different from the GPD Duo, which folds vertically like the Yoga Book 9i (2024 model with Intel Core Ultra 7 curr. $1,799.99 on Best Buy) and Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED.
As far as the connectivity ports go, the Acemagic Z1A brings two USB Type-C, one HDMI 2.0, and one USB 3.0. For wireless connectivity, the dual-screen laptop has Bluetooth 5.2 and WiFi 6. The company has yet to share pricing and availability details.
