The 2024 Vivobook S 14, S 16, and S 15 laptops that the company unveiled earlier this year now come with the new Ryzen AI processors based on the Zen 5 architecture. Since, the Ryzen AI 300 processors feature a third-generation NPU capable of 50 TOPs of compute, the Vivobook S 14/15/16 now qualify for the Copilot+ AI features that ASUS’s first Copilot+ PC, the Vivobook S 15 (M5707) with the Snapdragon X Elite, is scheduled to get on June 8. ASUS says that Copilot+ features like Recall will be available on the refreshed Vivobook S laptops on launch.
Aside from the inclusion of the new AMD Ryzen AI CPUs, the Vivobook S 14, S 15, and S 16 remain unchanged. So, we are looking at 14, 15.6, and 16-inch OLED displays for the S 14, S 15, and S 16 laptops respectively. The panels top out at 3.2K resolution with a 120 Hz refresh rate, and 100% DCI-P3 coverage.
All three laptops also get up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X-7500 memory, 1 TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage, and up to a 75 Wh battery. Cooling the internals is ASUS’s IceCool thermal Technology with two 97-blade fans aided by two heat pipes and two vents. Additionally, all three Vivobook S laptops get an RGB ErgoSense keyboard and touchpad.
Finally, ASUS has outfitted the laptops with:
- One USB 4 port
- One USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C port
- Two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A connectors
- A single HDMI 2.1 output
- A dedicated 3.5 mm audio jack and a microSD slot
Sadly, we don’t know when the new Vivobook S 14/15/16 with the AMD Ryzen AI CPUs will be available to buy and at what price. If you can’t wait, you can currently buy the Vivobook S 14, S 15, S 16 OLED laptops on Amazon.
