Mechrevo has announced a new Ryzen 7-equipped variant of its iMini P700 mini PC. The compact system now comes equipped with a healthy array of ports, an 8-core APU, and up to a whopping 128 GB of DDR5 RAM.

Mechrevo is a decently well-known brand in the realm of gaming laptops, mini PCs, and other computing hardware aimed primarily at gamers. The brand has now announced a new AMD-powered variant of its iMini P700 mini PC, equipped with a healthy set of specs.

At its core, the new variant of the mini PC is powered by a Ryzen 7 H 255 APU featuring an 8-core, 16-thread setup based on the Zen 4 architecture. Dual SODIMM slots take care of memory requirements, with a maximum capacity of 128 GB. Storage, on the other hand, is handled by dual M.2 slots.

The P700 mini PC rocks a potent AMD Zen 4 APU, up to 128 GB RAM

The AMD Ryzen 7 H 255 APU is nearly identical to the Ryzen 7 8745H. Therefore, the Hawkpoint APU's multicore performance should be in the same range as an Apple M4 and AMD's own Ryzen AI 7 450 chips, at least in synthetic multi-threaded benchmarks such as Cinebench 2024.

In other words, most moderately intensive CPU workloads should not be a hassle for the mini PC. Given its compact enclosure with a volume of just under a liter, the iMini P700 mini PC does not feature support for discrete graphics, forcing the AMD Radeon 780M iGPU to do all the heavy lifting.

The Mechrevo iMini P700 Mini PC features a compact enclosure that is only 5.35 cm or 2 inches thick.

The RDNA 3-based iGPU is no slouch, and should be able to perform decently well in moderately intensive tasks and low-end gaming at modest settings. For a deeper look, interested readers can refer to our detailed performance data for the same.

The I/O on offer has been listed below:

  • Triple USB 3.2 Type-A, dual USB 2.0 Type-A
  • Dual USB 3.2 Type-C, single USB4 Type-C
  • DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.1
  • Dual 2.5G Ethernet
  • 3.5 mm audio jack

As an introductory pricing of sorts, the base variant of the mini PC with 16 GB RAM and a 512 GB SSD is priced at 4,399 Yuan, or roughly $658 on JD.com.

Mechrevo does like to bring its products to the international market, but whether or not the iMini P700 is going to receive the same treatment remains to be seen. In the meantime, customers who require a similarly equipped mini PC urgently can check out the Minisforum X1 Lite, currently available for $729 on Amazon
